Pleasanton Weekly is hosting a series of election forums throughout the Tri-Valley to help voters learn more about local candidates and make informed decisions before casting their ballots. This forum will feature candidates for the Dublin Unified School District Board of Trustees in Areas 3 and 5. Community members are invited to attend in person, and a recording of the forum will be available afterward. Voters may also submit questions for consideration in advance through the Pleasanton Weekly website.

Tony Thurmond invites district and county leaders, school board members, legislators, and education partners to a statewide summit on one of the defining challenges facing California schools: declining enrollment. As enrollment falls statewide, districts face budget pressures that reach every classroom. This summit will bring together leaders to share how districts are managing the fiscal and programmatic realities of declining enrollment and to preview the Superintendent's proposal to move California from attendance-based (ADA) funding to an enrollment-based model that reflects the students that schools are serving.
